Instructions for Authors
1. General Requirements and Ethics
The Al-Mutawassit Journal for Basic and Applied Sciences (MJBAS) aims to publish original, high-quality research in Basic and Applied Sciences. All submitted manuscripts must be original work and must not have been previously published elsewhere.

Copyright belongs to the authors.
Plagiarism Screening:

The journal uses the Turnitin software for plagiarism screening.
-
Manuscripts with an overall similarity index exceeding 20% will be rejected.
2. Main Formatting Requirements
The entire manuscript must be formatted according to the following standards:

Main Font Type: Times New Roman.
-
Main Text Font Size: 10 points (pt).
-
Main Text Alignment: Justify.
3. Manuscript Structure
The manuscript must follow the following sections in order:
A. Title and Authorship

The Paper Title must be written in both English and Arabic (using a font size of 16 points).

Author Names and affiliations (Department, College, University, City, State, Country) must be clearly listed.

The Corresponding Author must be clearly indicated, and their email address provided.
B. Abstract and Keywords
-
The Abstract must be in both Arabic and English.
-
It should not exceed 250 words and must be written in a single paragraph.

The abstract should summarize the overall purpose of the study, the basic design, the results, and a brief summary of interpretations and conclusions.

Keywords must be listed in both English and Arabic beneath the respective abstract.
C. Introduction

The Introduction should clearly identify the subject area of interest.
-
Authors should highlight the importance of the topic and present an overview of current research in the field.
D. Material and Methods

The methods and analysis performed in the research work must be clearly described in this section.
E. Results and Discussion
-
The Results and Discussion sections may be combined or presented separately.
-
This section may be broken into subsets with short, clear headings.
F. Conclusion
-
This section should state all the main points derived from the research work.

The conclusion should be concise and informative, starting with a summary of the study's outcome and ending with a statement on the societal benefit and the way forward.

Ensure that the conclusion is not the same as the abstract.
4. Citations and References

In-Text Citation: References must be cited in the text using numbers in square brackets.

Example: "...was reported earlier [1, 2]."

Reference List: The full list of references must be formatted according to the APA 7th edition style.
5. Tables and Figures
-
All Tables and Figures must be inserted into the main manuscript text at their appropriate places.
-
Tables: Tables must be numbered sequentially. The table title and footnotes (if any) should be clear and appropriate.

Figures: Figures must be numbered sequentially (e.g., Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.), and the figure caption must be clear and center-aligned.
